The Check-In Model
A lightweight agent — called a Scout — runs on a device at each of your locations. Every few minutes, it checks in with the OutageScout platform, confirming that the path between that device and the outside world is clear.
When that path breaks — whether it's the local network, the ISP, or anything in between — the Scout can't check in. A missed check-in triggers an alert to you immediately.
